SUMMARY:California Hunger Action Coalition Week of Advocacy
DESCRIPTION:Join the California Hunger Action Coalition for a week of advocacy to dismantle the injustices that perpetuate hunger in our state. The week of advocacy is a FREE event that brings together people from across California to learn about policy strategies to improve food security and speak directly with California legislators and their staff about policy solutions. The event kicks off with a Hunger Advocacy Training on January 15th at 10am and legislative visits are being scheduled throught the week of January 18th. To join the legislative visits please email jared@nourishca.org. On January 21\, 2021\, we’re also coming together as advocates–child care\, food programs\, safety net\, and anti-poverty champions–for a day of advocacy for child care\, ending child poverty\, and greater food security.
