AB 839 Voted Out of the Assembly!

6.2.2011 In a great show of support for putting students and breakfast first, the California State Assembly voted to pass AB 839 (Brownley).AB 839 now heads to the Senate Committee on Education.  Before the bill lands on the governor’s desk, AB 839 must pass through the Senate Committee on Appropriations and be voted off of the Senate floor.  Your support is needed to keep AB 839 moving forward!

What Can You Do?

(1) Send a letter of support to the Chair of the Senate Committee on Education.  For a sample letter visit CFPA’s AB 839 page.

(2) Spread the word among community members and local advocates; AB 839 is on the move and needs your continued support!

(3) Get in touch with your Senator; call or write your representatives to tell them that you are counting on their support of AB 839!
