2026 CalFresh Forum Proposal Review

Reviewers will commit 3-4 hours of their time to evaluate submissions based on clarity, relevance, representation, and potential impact. We will assign the proposals based on the number of submissions, but individuals should have no more than 10 proposals to review. All proposals will be assessed by at least two reviewers. We are aiming to finish reviewing proposals by the end of June.

There are no formal requirements to become a proposal reviewer! We’re looking for people who can provide their insights and expertise on the issues and topics that are important to them and the communities they work with. However, if you or someone from your organization plans to submit a proposal this year, we ask that you refrain from filling out the interest form.

Assigned reviewers will be notified if they are selected on a rolling basis by email. All reviewers will be notified by June 5, 2026 at the latest (when proposal submissions close). If selected, we will send you further details along with instructions and a review rubric.

No, attendance will not be mandatory. However, all proposal reviewers will receive a registration waiver for this year’s CalFresh Forum. We hope to see you there!
