7.1.10 State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O’Connell and State Controller John Chiang released a joint letter today confirming that time spent serving and eating Classroom Breakfast can count towards instructional minutes. The letter, sent to all county and district superintendents and charter school administrators, also encourages schools to expand their school breakfast programs, particularly by utilizing more effective service times and service locations.
