*New* Food4All Community Document

Published on Aug 24, 2022 in Immigrants

Nourish California, the California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC), Mixteco Indigena Community Organizing Project (MICOP), PoderLatinx, and the Food4All Coalition are excited to share a new community document that provides information about a recent policy change that would expand access to CalFresh for undocumented immigrants 55 and older titled What does Food4All mean for me? ¿Qué significa Food4All (comida para todos) para mí?

The purpose of this document is for community-based organizations (CBOs) to uniformly communicate what the 2022-23 state budget allocation to expand CalFresh access to undocumented immigrants ages 55 and older means for immigrant households. CBOs are trusted messengers and direct resources to the communities they serve and are best positioned to provide timely information about upcoming changes to CalFresh. This document is meant to be a tool widely used across the state – the language is clear, concise, and accessible. We encourage CBOs to distribute this document widely among the communities they serve.

The document is meant to be branded with CBOs’ logos and contact information. Instructions on how to use this document are linked here.

Click here to download the documents in both English and Spanish.

Important Note: Currently this document is only available in English and Spanish. We are working to translate this document into other languages and hope to share these soon. We will update the document to reflect any policy or administrative changes.
