10.30.2014 CFPA is proud to announce that El Monte City School District’s commitment to ensuring their students have access to school meals has been noticed by some high officials. Under Secretary Concannon and California Department of Education Nutrition Services Director Sandip Kaur took the time to visit a Breakfast in the Classroom program at Durfee Elementary School in El Monte. El Monte City School District has received numerous awards for their dedication towards student health. They have rolled out Breakfast in the Classroom in all of their schools ensuring all students have access to the most important meal of the day.
