8.7.2012 AB 1560 (Fuentes) Food for Health was placed in “suspense” during the Senate Appropriations Committee hearing yesterday. A number of proposals faced a similar challenge as bills with any costs were considered candidates for the suspense file. CFPA and the author’s office will work with committee staff in an attempt to alleviate some of these associated costs and improve the likelihood that AB 1560 will continue moving forward. If AB 1560 passes out of Senate Appropriations it will head to the Senate Floor next. The committee will meet once again on Thursday, August 16 and reconsider bills that were placed on suspense.
