Yesterday, California anti-hunger partners submitted a letter to the state’s House Agriculture Committee members expressing deep concern over Chairman Conaway’s Farm Bill proposal. PDF The Conaway bill includes harmful proposals that would increase hunger by cutting off thousands of Californians from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, known as CalFresh in California). CFPA and California’s anti-hunger community are deeply disappointed to see the Committee reverse its history of bipartisan support for the SNAP program.
