Make a Bequest and Leave a Legacy of Food and Health

2.1.2020 As a registered non-profit organization, Nourish California is eligible to receive charitable bequests, including money, land, or other property. Your willed gift or revocable trust will enable Nourish California to continue working to improve the health and well being of low-income Californians. It's easy to set up, and can be modified as needs change. Here are several ways you can donate with your legacy.

Sample Bequest Language: I bequeath to Nourish California, a non-profit policy and advocacy organization, located at 1736 Franklin St, Suite 550, Oakland, CA, 94612, the sum of $___________ to be used for the general support of its mission to improve the health and well being of low income Californians by increasing their access to nutritious, affordable food. Tax ID # 94-3163142.

Sample Gift of Real Estate Language: I instruct my executor to sell the property owned by me and located at ______________________. The net proceeds from this sale should be donated to Nourish California, a non-profit policy and advocacy organization, located at 1736 Franklin St., Suite 550, Oakland, CA, 94612, Tax ID # 94-3163142. These donated proceeds shall be used for the general support of its mission to improve the health and well being of low income Californians by increasing their access to nutritious, affordable food.

Other ways to leave a legacy of food and health: Let your estate planner, family, and/or tax advisor know about your interest in leaving a legacy gift to Nourish California.
