Tell your Rep: Vote NO on House Republican Budget

Published on Mar 15, 2013 in CalFresh

3.15.2013 Rep. Paul Ryan released the House Republican Budget this week, which includes a $135 billion cut to SNAP (CalFresh in CA) over the next ten years. SNAP is the nation’s most important tool to prevent hunger; these cuts would be devastating to low-income Californians. In addition to improving food insecurity, SNAP provides an important economic stimulus to local economies. Take a moment to tell your Representative to protect SNAP by voting no on the House budget.
