Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Courtney Shojinaga (she/her/hers) as Communications Coordinator. We are excited about this new role and opportunities for elevating our work through communications support. Courtney brings a wealth of experience as a communications specialist in various nonprofits based in Los Angeles.
Courtney will be working to develop and execute communications strategies. She will also manage the organization’s social media channels to effectively uplift the voices of community members and share the important work we do to address systemic injustices that perpetuate hunger and food insecurity.
Prior to joining Nourish California, she was a communications specialist with Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy, supporting the labor rights of retail workers and educators, and Asian Pacific Islander Forward Movement, advocating for culturally-relevant food access.
Outside of work she enjoys drawing, checking out new coffee shops, and exercising.
