The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a powerful tool to reach more students with the health and academic benefits of free school meals. 

CEP is a federal option that enables eligible schools to serve a healthy breakfast and lunch free of charge to ALL students, decreases administrative burdens, and streamlines meal program operations.

Federal waivers allow schools to serve meals free of charge to all students in SY 2021-22. And California state law requires schools to serve meals free of charge to all in SY 2022-23.
