Since the COVID-19 Crisis started, school districts have distributed millions of free meals to kids and teenagers to fight hunger in California. However, the federal flexibilities that have allowed schools to feed all children might expire soon.

The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) can be a powerful tool to preserve this important benefit for students as they go back to school.

CEP is a provision of the National School Lunch Program that enables eligible schools to serve healthy breakfast and lunch to ALL students, at no cost to them.
