On June 1st, California's Legislature unveiled details of a budget proposal to Governor Newsom that calls for historic investments in child care, including funding for child care meals.

Now, negotiations turn to the Governor as the Assembly and Senate reached a final agreement on June 14th. Use this tool to email the Governor or call his office at (916) 445-2841. Let the Governor know you support the Legislature's Child Care proposal, including one time COVID-19 relief funds to account for the increased cost of serving food during the pandemic and ongoing funding to supplement the cost of serving child care meals.
