Our families are better with WIC. The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a national program that supports the health and nutrition of pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children up to age five.
WIC serves about one million participants in California, but 500,000 more could be missing out on this help. Approximately 60% of California infants and mothers are eligible to receive WIC benefits which include a nutritious food package, breastfeeding support, formula when needed, and nutrition education.
The Better with WIC campaign advocates for policy solutions that can strengthen and advance the WIC program so more young families in California can access these benefits. Join us!
