Call-in Day to Protect CalFresh

Published on Jul 9, 2012 in CalFresh, Federal Advocacy

7.9.12  A call-in day has been scheduled for Tuesday in advance of the House Agriculture Committee’s scheduled discussion of serious cuts to SNAP/CalFresh benefits and eligibility on July11. Changes under consideration could reduce CalFresh benefits by at least $15 billion nationally over the next decade.

FRAC and Feeding America are hosting a National SNAP Call-In Day for Tuesday, July 10. CFPA urges Californians to participate in this action. Call your House Members and echo the message being delivered by callers from across the country: “NO SNAP Cuts/Hunger Hurts.” Use Feeding America’s toll free number 1-877-698-8228.
