AB 2449 Held in Senate Appropriations

AB2449-Icon8.15.2014 AB 2449 (Bocanegra) Adequate Time to Eat: Lunchtime Supports Learning was held in the Senate Appropriations suspense file. While the bill will not make further progress this year, CFPA will continue working with the California Department of Education and other stakeholders to ensure that students have enough time to sit and eat a lunch at school. This bill received wide support and engagement from many education stakeholders, and made great progress in educating state policymakers about the problem of inadequate time to eat at schools. CFPA looks forward to future policy efforts to ensure that all California students have the time they need to eat at school. A big thanks to all the supporters of this bill.
