CFPA Urges President to Invest in the Child Nutrition Programs

Published on Oct 14, 2014 in Federal Advocacy

10.14.2014 CFPA joins more than 1,000 organizations from across the nation in signing a letter, delivered by Food Research and Action Center, that urges President Obama to include a significant investment in the child nutrition programs in his FY2016 budget. This request comes about one year in advance of Child Nutrition Reauthorization, a process which provides Congress and the Administration the opportunity to improve and strengthen the child nutrition programs so they better meet the needs of our nation’s children. This letter is a first step in ensuring adequate funding is made available to sustain and strengthen these vital programs.
