Take Action: AB 292 Heads to the Assembly Floor!

Published on Jun 1, 2015 in Child Nutrition, School-Aged Children, State Legislation

6.1.2015  AB 292 (Santiago), the Time to Eat bill, will likely be heard on the Assembly Floor this Thursday, June 4. There’s still time to take action and let your Assemblymember know that you support AB 292 and urge their “aye” vote. AB 292 would help ensure that students have enough time to sit down and eat a nutritious lunch at school – at least 20 minutes after receiving their lunch. The bill emphasizes the crucial role of nutrition in supporting academic achievement and student health.Take a look at the suggested actions below:

Send a Floor Alert: We’ve prepared a sample AB 292 floor alert that is ready for you to personalize. Please email or fax a copy to your Assemblymember and encourage an “aye” vote. Don’t forget to share the sample floor alert with partners!
