3.21.2016 Today, CFPA released its annual State Administrative Agenda on Child Nutrition. The agenda describes CFPA’s administrative advocacy priorities for supporting the health, development, and achievement of low-income children across our state. We are calling on state administrators to join us in advancing these priorities by
– Optimizing direct certification by adopting USDA-endorsed practices and processes;
– Maximizing the use of Medi-Cal data in direct certification;
– Extending the “travelling apple” rule to the CACFP At-Risk Afterschool Nutrition Program;
– Ensuring effective, coordinated implementation of the new CACFP nutrition standards; and
– Identifying and disseminating strategies to advance LCAP priorities through improved school nutrition programs
