“I’m calling/writing to ask the Senator to accept the Assembly’s Education Budget Proposal to extend funding for school breakfast after the bell grants in the 2018-19 Budget- Conference Issue EDU 36. Over the last year, these grant funds have helped more than 120,000 low-income students in 160 high-poverty schools. This successful grant program is now exhausted, and will end if funding isn’t extended. We are all counting on the Senator to do the right thing for California kids. Please include the Assembly Breakfast After the Bell grants in the Legislature’s Final Budget.”
