10.17.2013 Now that the Federal shutdown has been resolved, many anti-hunger advocates are turning their attention back to the Farm Bill. Both the Senate and House have selected conferees for the Conference Committee and will consider the House and Senate Farm Bills in their meetings starting the week of October 27. Now is the perfect time to take action and let the Conference Committee members know that we’d want them to preserve and protect SNAP.
We are looking for signatories on a letter to the Conference Committee. DOC

Farm Bill Updates:
- The Conference Committee will consider the House Farm Bill and the Senate Farm Bill in their meetings starting the week of October 27th.
- CA Senators Boxer & Feinstein sign letter opposing SNAP Cuts.
- Conferees have been selected and are already meeting. Conferees include Representatives Costa, Denham, & Negrete-Mcleod from California.
