3.29.2012 AB 1594 (Eng) Improving Charter School Nutrition passed the Assembly Education Committee yesterday afternoon.A great thanks goes out to James, a student advocate with Hand Up Teen Leadership Program in San Diego, who testified on the issue. As well, as the many other advocates who attended the hearing to voice their support for AB 1594 and who sent in letters to the committee. Your efforts are greatly appreciated and played a key role in moving AB1594 through its first committee.
This is AB 1594’s first policy committee. The bill will head to Assembly Appropriations Committee next. Keep your eye out for more information about future hearing dates.
