“I’m calling/emailing to ask the Senator to support EDU 6, the Assembly’s proposal to fund child care meals in the state budget. The funding would provide critical support for child care providers to serve a healthy breakfast and lunch to low-income children in child care. I/our organization, along with a statewide coalition of partners, supports this ask, because it will make healthy food more accessible to young children, while supporting the viability of the child care work force. We are all counting on the Senator to do the right thing for California kids, working families, and child care providers. Please include the Assembly’s proposal in the Legislature’s Final Budget.”

If you are emailing please include the following subject line: SUPPORT for Assembly Child Care Nutrition. Also, include a link to the coalition letter. link

“I’m calling/emailing to thank the Assemblymember for recommending to fund child care meals in the state budget and to ask for the Assemblymember’s continued support of EDU 6. This is so important because it will provide critical funding to serve healthy meals to young children, while supporting the viability of the child care work force. I am/we are cheering on the Assemblymember to keep fighting for the funding in the Legislature’s Final Budget and so are hundreds of thousands of California kids, working families, and child care providers.”
