5.3.2013 Today, May 3rd, is School Lunch Superhero Day! CFPA celebrates school food superheroes and acknowledges all of those who are working hard to prepare and serve fresh, healthful, and appealing school food each day. School food superheroes are doing their part to make sure all students start the school day nourished and ready to learn and excel. There are many districts across the state that are stepping up and doing all that they can to ensure that students have access to nutritious school food. California districts both large and small are using a variety of strategies, including expanding Classroom Breakfast, or increasing the amount of freshly prepared meals to strengthen, grow and improve school food.
