10.18.2011 Please join Action for Healthy Kids and the BreakfastFirst Campaign for a series of five interactive webinars designed to showcase the health, fiscal, and academic benefits of effective school breakfast programs. Each of the webinars, presented throughout the 2011-2012 school year, will feature an expert panel that will share key resources, discuss best practices, and answer questions from attendees.

Webinar #1 – School Breakfast Basics – Making the Case and Making It Work

  • When: Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 1-2 pm PT
  • What: School Breakfast Basics – Making the Case and Making It Work. This session is designed to bring school breakfast beginners up to speed. Participants will gain a better understanding of the operation, funding, and benefits of the federal School Breakfast Program. You will leave the webinar with resources and next steps for improving school breakfast in your community.
  • Who: This is a great webinar for anyone who is unfamiliar with the School Breakfast program but wants to help ensure that all students are well nourished and ready to learn. We welcome any and all participants, including parents, teachers, principals, food vendors, advocates, and district administrators.

You will hear from experts at the Food Research and Action Center, California Food Policy Advocates (The BreakfastFirst Campaign), and districts with successful school breakfast programs.
