5.25.2017 Progress! CFPA and our partners, NextGen, are grateful for your support of California-grown food in freshly made school meals. Senate Appropriations passed SB 782 with a unanimous, bi-partisan vote this morning. SB 782 would establish a grant program to incentivize public schools to serve more California-grown food in freshly prepared school meals.

Thanks to your action, SB 782 now heads to the Senate Floor, with a vote expected on Tuesday, May 30. Organizations spanning representation from education to agriculture and health to anti-hunger came together to encourage the state to incentivize school districts to buy fresh, California-grown ingredients.
