Thank you and best wishes, Jackie!

Today is Jackie Mendelson’s last day interning with Nourish California. We are very grateful for the time she spent with us supporting our Food4All campaign and many other work. In January 2022, she took the initiative inquiring if Nourish California was interested in hosting her as a graduate student intern. Her passion, willingness to learn, and her positive approach made our decision clear and so we brought her onboard. She had become such an integral part of the team we extended her internship through the summer.

During her time at Nourish California, she helped coordinate the Food4All coalition building relationships with anti-hunger, anti-poverty, and immigrant rights organizations.  She carried out the day-to-day campaign activities, provided logistical support and was the resident zoom wizard. The Food4All campaign continues to be successful because of Jackie‘s support and dedication. Thank you for all that you have done for the campaign, the Nourish California team, and the state!

We will continue to work with Jackie – so this is not a “farewell.” Jackie will be joining the CDSS California Food Assistance Program (CFAP) Bureau working administratively on the expansion of CFAP benefits for California immigrants, regardless of immigration status. We are all very proud of her accomplishments and can’t wait to work with her in new role. Best wishes, Jackie!
