In April, President Biden unveiled details of a sweeping proposal to Congress known as the American Familis Plan that calls for transformative policies to disrupt poverty, including investments to improve the reach and quality of the nation’s child nutrition programs. Now, Congress needs to act.

Key decisions about funding the President's proposals are expected to be made over the August recess. We encourage you to weigh in now with your members of Congress. Ask them to support the child nutrition provisions included in the American Families Plan and to go further by adding healthy school meals for all beyond the 2021–2022 school year, and extending CalFresh benefit boosts.
