6.11.2013 AB 290 (Alejo) Foundations for Healthy Nutrition in Child Care made it out of the Senate Human Services Committee this afternoon with a bipartisan vote of 6-0! AB 290, a bill that would add one hour to the Preventive Health and Safety training in order to educate prospective child care providers about the importance of childhood nutrition and the resources of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), will head to the Senate Appropriations Committee next. Stay tuned for more information!

Thank you to all of the bill’s supporters! Everyone’s hard work got the bill through this policy committee.

It’s not too late to send in a letter of support doc
