California is home to children of the greatest diversity of races, ethnicities, and nationalities in the country. The food crediting systems of our child nutrition programs must thus continually adapt to the changing demographics of our children, and provide them with healthy, nutrient-rich foods that are also appealingly familiar and culturally sensitive.
