CalFresh Forum Postponed

Published on Jan 7, 2021 in CalFresh

Happy 2021 from the Nourish California CalFresh Team. We’ve been thinking about this year’s CalFresh Forum —  our 22nd annual — and how we should proceed given the need to stay safely distanced. We considered holding a virtual Forum, since we’re all used to zooming these days. But we realized that what makes the CalFresh Forum a unique and valuable convening is the in-person interaction that it fosters between the variety of stakeholders that work so hard each year to improve CalFresh.

The Forum is a special space where state administrators can interact with local outreach partners,  elected officials who can influence important policy can learn from administrators and experts, and where we can all share and celebrate what we’ve accomplished together the past year. It’s a place where we can think big, dive into the weeds, and hopefully have a little fun.

So we decided to wait and hope that we can see each other sometime later this year, even if it takes a while. We’ll be in touch to let you know when that will be. Or you can sign up to receive those updates automatically by visiting our Action Center.

But we aren’t just sitting around and waiting it out. We’re organizing individual virtual events throughout the year to highlight 2021 CalFresh legislation, upcoming policy changes, new CalFresh pilot programs, and more. If you have ideas on topics we should address, just email us at jared@nourishca.org.

Thanks for your partnership, and we look forward to seeing you later in the year.
