Now is the time for California to champion bold policies and put forth a different vision for our nation, one where all Californians — regardless of immigration status — have the food they need.
BUDGET WIN! (Assemblymember Santiago + Senator Hurtado)
The passage of the 2022-2023 state budget will make California the first state in the nation to include undocumented adults in food assistance. Upon implementation, undocumented, income-eligible adults aged 55 and older will be able to access CalFresh benefits.
What's next for Food4All?
Expand CalFresh to provide state-funded nutrition benefits to Californians of all ages, regardless of their immigration status.
